Where Wrestling Meets Purpose

Where Wrestling Meets Purpose

Our Mission: Fighting for Families, One Match at a Time

Founded in 2011, Wrestling for a Cause (WFC) is more than just a wrestling promotion, it’s a movement dedicated to supporting children and families affected by Childhood Cancer.

It all started with a single event in Owasso, Oklahoma, for a courageous four-year-old boy named Ryder, battling Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. His fight inspired Tim Johnson to create something bigger: a platform where professional wrestling isn’t just entertainment, it’s a force for good.

Since then, WFC has hosted over 130 events across Oklahoma and beyond, raising more than $170,000 to assist families facing the overwhelming financial strain of medical expenses, travel, and lost wages.

A Decade of Impact & Growing

What sets WFC apart is our unwavering commitment:

100% of event proceeds—ticket sales, concessions, auctions, and a portion of merchandise revenue go directly to families in need.

World-class talent—our wrestlers and crew volunteer their time, delivering electrifying performances that captivate fans while serving a higher purpose.

A legacy of giving—WFC has expanded its impact beyond childhood cancer, supporting The American Cancer Society, Tulsa Jr. Oilers, Tulsa Drillers, and the Northeast Oklahoma Veterans Freedom Tour.

Professional Wrestling with a Heart

WFC delivers the hard-hitting, high-flying action of a top-tier wrestling promotion while staying true to its mission. Each event brings:
💥 Unforgettable rivalries & storytelling—Heroes, villains, and larger-than-life personas ignite the ring.
🎭 Entertainment with depth—Comedy, drama, and jaw-dropping athleticism captivate fans of all ages.
🏟 A home for wrestling fans—Whether you cheer for a Wrangler, a Walking Showcase, or an 80s Rock Star, WFC offers a world that’s both exhilarating and welcoming.

Honoring Ryder’s Legacy

Though Ryder passed away in March 2013, his spirit lives on in every match, every event, and every family we help. Each summer, we honor him with a two-night event in his name, featuring the best wrestlers from Oklahoma and beyond.

Wrestling for a Cause is more than a promotion, it’s a movement. Join us, cheer with us, fight with us. Because together, we can make a difference, one match at a time.

Join the Movement

Wrestling for a Cause isn’t just a promotion, it’s a family, a mission, and a calling. Every chant, every match, every moment in the ring fuels a greater purpose. Be part of the movement.

🔹 Follow WFC. Attend an event. Make an impact. 🔹

Because when the bell rings, we fight for more than just victory - we fight for a cause.
